Commuter Attachment Systems for Local Trains

Locomotion Course

Travelling in the suburban local train during the peak hours can be a stunning experience for a greenhorn in Bombay. One has to maneuver one self with extreme adroitness in order to be able to embark or disembark at the desired station. The platforms on the stations come on either side and one has to position oneself in the right spot in the gang way to be able to get off at the destination.

Four basic choreographies have been designed according to whether the commuter enters or exits the train from the east side or the west side. The following course in footwork can make you a skilled commuter on the western line of the suburban local trains in Bombay. Similar courses for the Central and Harbour line can be designed to order.

Refer to chart below to find out which stations allow entry /exit from east / west on the Borivali- Churchgate locals.

The next set of charts show in a tabular form the various stations to enable you to plot your journey. Check the columns for your point of embarkation and the rows for your point of disembarkation. The chart that has both the points (embarkation and disembarkation) highlighted is the chart that describes your journey. Refer to the corresponding diagrams (click the button on the chart to access the respective diagram) for a view of the footwork involved between entry and exit points. You will find below the diagrams a few important tips and information to help you in your passage.
